Personal skills

Professor Sofie De Schepper (1976) is a staff member of the department of Dermatology of the University hospital in Gent since 2007. In 2007, she defended her PhD thesis entitled “Café-au-lait spots in Neurofibromatosis type 1: a step towards unravelling the etiopathogenic mechanisms”. In 2010, she received the title of professor from the University of Gent. Since 2007 she has focused mainly on her subspecialities of pediatric dermatology and dermatopathology. Vascular tumors and malformations and genodermatoses hold her special interest.
